The best time to visit Colombia's Coffee Region
You can visit the Coffee Region all year round. It sits in the Andes, close to the equator, so there are no seasons like in Europe or North America: the weather changes more with altitude and rain than with the month.

The weather
Days are usually mild and nights cool. Armenia and Pereira are warmer; Salento, the Cocora Valley, Manizales and the páramo are colder and cloudier.
Pack layers: something light for the day, a warm layer for the evening and a rain jacket.
Drier and wetter seasons
In general there are two drier seasons, from December to February and from June to August, and two wetter ones, around April–May and October–November.
Even in the rainy season it tends to rain more in the afternoon: mornings are the best time to hike the Cocora Valley or go birdwatching.
The coffee harvest
The main harvest runs roughly from October to December, with a smaller harvest, the mitaca, between April and June, depending on the farm and altitude. During those weeks you'll see the pickers in the fields, although coffee farm visits run all year.
Peak seasons
Colombian holidays are the busiest times: mid-December to mid-January, Holy Week (Semana Santa) and mid-June to July, plus long weekends with public holidays.
At those times it's best to book accommodation, transport and experiences in advance.
Birdwatching
Birds can be seen all year; activity peaks in the early morning.
