Theme parks in the Coffee Region

Parque del Café

In Montenegro, 12 km from Armenia, this is the Coffee Region's most emblematic theme park: coffee culture told through shows, the coffee trail, a funicular, a cable car and fairground rides.

PANACA

In Quimbaya, 22 km from Armenia, this is the park of farming culture, built on the idea that “without the countryside, there is no city”: more than 2.5 km of stations with farm animals and shows featuring horses, dogs and pigs.

RECUCA and the Botanical Garden

In Calarcá, 6 km from Armenia. At RECUCA you dress up as a coffee picker and live the coffee cycle; the Quindío Botanical Garden has the National Palm Collection, the largest palm collection in Colombia, and a butterfly house.

Bioparque Ukumarí

Pereira is home to one of the largest bioparks in Latin America, dedicated to conservation: spectacled bears, pumas, Andean birds and an African savannah with giraffes, lions and rhinos.

Parque Los Arrieros and Laberinto Mil Caminos

Parque Los Arrieros, in Montenegro, pays tribute to arriería (mule driving), the trade that built the region, with 8 artistic performances and 14 interactive activities. Laberinto Mil Caminos, in Quimbaya, has more than 3 km of paths among 24,000 shrubs.

Which one should I choose?

For coffee culture with fairground rides, Parque del Café; for the countryside and animals, PANACA; to experience the coffee process first-hand, RECUCA; for wildlife, Ukumarí. If you have two days, combine PANACA and Parque del Café, as in our Family & Theme Parks itinerary.
